These Thorogood 804-6379 American Made Men's Black 8 Inch Composite Toe Waterproof Met-Guard Puncture-Resistant EMS Fire-Fighting Boots do so much for your feet, we may not have space to list all the features. The tall, 8-inch black uppers of these Thorogood boots are crafted with water- and flame-resistant leather. Stretchy leather flexes and feels good around your feet, but it's weather's worst enemy. Leather is tough to wear out, naturally resistant to wind and wet, and always ready to work. These Wildland EMS boots are also detailed with 3M Scotchlite reflective material to improve your visibility. Rubber toe and heel protection guards the leather against abrasions and scuffs.
Theses safety toe boots are resistant to dangerous blood-borne pathogens, safety hazards so small you can't see them. They're also made for fire-fighting, and meet National Fire Protection Agency 1971-2000 safety standards for flame-resistance.
The insoles of these Thorogood composite toe boots are made with dual-density construction. Two layers of shock-resistant, impact-absorbent polyurethane soften your stride. The removable design means the insoles can be taken right out and cleaned for odor control. Shock-resistant rubber midsoles add another layer of comfort. The triple ladder shank design keeps muscles lifted and well-supported. Made with non-metallic, lightweight composite material, the shanks in these puncture-resistant boots won't conduct electricity or temperature changes.
These fire-fighting boots are also puncture-resistant, as previously mentioned, and meet or exceed ASTM F 2412 standards for protection. But danger doesn’t just lie around on the ground. It may also come from above, in the form of falling hazards. That’s why these Thorogood metatarsal guard boots are also made with internal metatarsal guards that protect the tops of your feet. Non-metallic composite toes extend the protection all the way to the tips of your feet. The composite toes meet or exceed ASTM F2413-11 M I/75 C/75 safety standards to keep you work-ready.
The slip-resistant Vibram soles on these EMS boots are held in place with dependable Goodyear welt construction. The soles aren’t just slip-resistant, they’re safe. They’re Fire soles that are made with chiseled-edge lugs, a design that gives you grip even on slick, uneven and dangerous terrain. Repairable Goodyear welt construction creates a tough stitched bond. For even more safety, the soles are rated for electrical hazard protection. They absorb deadly electricity, guarding you around open circuits and other electrical dangers.
