These boots have been engineered for stability on the trail or at work. The composite toes meet ASTM F 2413-05 M/I/75/C/75 standards. They have also been tested for electrical hazard and electric shock resistance and meet CAN/CSA-Z195 18,000 volts electrical shock resistance standards. These work boots are also 100% non-metallic in case you plan on passing through security with them on, they won’t set off alarms.
The inside of these hiking boots has a lot of good stuff built in. The linings are heavy duty Nylex for durability. The Thoro-dri membrane waterproof system keeps your feet as dry as toast. The removable VGS Motion Sensor dual density polyurethane footbeds (that’s a long name!) have memory foam for lots of cushioning. The midsoles are compression-molded EVA with Impact 300 gel heel inserts. The inserts give you lots of extra cushioning. The engineered composite shanks keep your feet aligned stable by keeping your ankles from bending in or out too much from lack of support. Good shanks keep them aligned and reduce fatigue at the end of the day.
