The full-grain leather provides comfort as well as foot protection. Leather is found in just about every part of this work boot and being oil-tanned, the leather gives you easier break-in to mold to the foot. A 1" heel adds the stability and safety needed to handle the toughest of climbing jobs and meets OSHA standards. The sweat-resistant full-leather insole and mid-sole add to the comfort; and the side leather patch helps reduce wear and prevents holes from being worn in the uppers.
When spending long hours standing on pegs or strap-on pegs to the boot, climbers depend on the extra support of the hard toe, the heavy steel shank, the leather half-slips and the recessed metal breastplate in the heel and steel side plates.
