The tall uppers are made with tobacco brown leather. Leather has been used to make footwear for thousands of years because it works. It's flexible to give feet softness, strong to give boots durability and in this pair, it's been oil-tanned for extra water-repellency and suppleness.
Cotton drill lining in the vamp creates a soft fit around feet. But under your feet, you'll rest on soft Poron 4000 comfort cushions. The cushioning will comfort your every step with a dual-density design. Because they're removable, the insoles may be cleaned easily at any time.
Sympatex waterproof barriers surround feet in dry protection. The barriers won't let water come in, but air will. Breathable Sympatex allows natural ventilation to get to feet so skin won't feel hot, sweaty and smothered.
Shock-resistant rubber midsoles add a tough layer of comfort. To give feet even more support, the engineered composite shanks lift arches. Non-metallic composite won't conduct heat and electricity, but it will support steps to prevent muscle pain.
The slip-resistant Vibram soles are attached with sturdy, durable Goodyear storm welt construction. The storm welt stitching keeps moisture from seeping in around the soles blown rubber wedge soles. The supportive soles are rated for electrical hazard protection, so they’ll absorb up to 18,000 volts of dangerous shock.
