The Converse Athletic Oxford features a brown waxy nicebuc leather upper with a tan star and chevron accent on the side. These oxfords are lined with moisture- wicking nylon mesh. The footbed is a removable EVA cushioned insert that will give you all-day comfort and reduce fatigue. The non-metallic composite toe meets the ASTM F1413-05 standards. These Athletic Oxfords are also Electrical Hazard Rated.
Converse uses a Strobel technique to attach the upper to the rubber sole. The Strobel technique stitches the upper at the border to a flexible woven material instead of gluing the material to a fiberboard. This technique gives you improved stability and flexibility. The soles are slip- and oil-resistant as well. The heel design features a sponge-rubber wedge.
