Chippewa's Men's Waterproof Leather Work Boots 72129 cover your feet with 6 inches of waterproof support. These Chippewa work boots will work hard to give your feet a break.
The upper is made with Briar oiled waterproof leather. The brown leather is both durable and handsome-- kind of like you, Working Man. (Sigh.) Built with solid Goodyear Leather Welt construction, the boots are made to last. Goodyear's welting process stitches the upper fabric, lining, and sole of the boot together for a flexible fit and added strength. These boots also feature Goodyear's patented Flexwelt sole construction, which adds longevity the boot. How? Flexwelt soles can be replaced after you've worn out the bottoms of your boots with all that hard work you do. But don't worry, these Chippewas will take a long time to wear down. The Flexwelt system also delivers arch support. The steel shank protects your arches from the outside by guarding them against metal surfaces like ladder rungs.
The boots are lined with a combination of leather and Dri-Lex. Dri-Lex is a soft, breathable lining that wicks moisture away from your feet. Your feet will also get dry coverage from the Chip-A-Tex waterproof bootie which locks out the wet stuff to promote a dry, comfortable environment inside your boots.
The hard hits of your terrain won't be able to get through the 4-iron rubber midsole, which takes the abuse before it hits your feet. Vibram's Amber Alpha Plus Yellow Plug features a stabilizing oil- and slip-resistant tread design to keep you steady. The antique nickel non-tarnishable hardware and heavy-duty sta-tied wax laces secure your boots with durable staying power. Throughout your work day, the removable cushion orthotic footbed will offer support from toe to heel.
