These boots meet or exceed the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards on protective clothing and equipment for wildland fire fighting, 2005 edition. If they're tough enough to take on forest fires, these boots can handle pretty much anything.
The 10 inch uppers are made with premium, full-grain leather. The leather has been painstakingly de-haired, but otherwise untreated so it retains its natural pliancy and softness. Leather resists wear, wind and weather. Tough logger laces go all the way up.
Firm ankle support is built right in to the design to keep your steps solid. Speaking of solid steps, you'll rest atop Vibram lug outsoles every time you stand and walk.
