You don’t want to be caught halfway up a mountain with sore feet from the wrong boots. 200 grams of Thinsulate insulation keeps your feet warm as you’re jumping from rock to rock.
Gore-Tex breathable membrane linings keep your feet dry by pulling wetness away from your feet. At the same time, it keeps water from getting in. The pores are big enough to let vapor out, but aren’t big enough to let water in. The mesh sock liners won’t snag your socks and make them bunch up. Nothing’s worse than bunched-up socks when you’re counting on your feet to go the distance.
The full-cushion footbeds will retain their cushioning ability if you clean them regularly. They’ll bounce back to their original shape and keep your feet comfortable for the long run. Compression-molded EVA midsoles give you firm support that absorbs the shock from walking up a mountain. The cement construction keeps water from getting in and provides excellent durability.
