Resistant to wear and water, the upper perfectly compliments the boots' injected waterproof construction in in keeping all moisture out. With Chippewa's signature waterproofing, your feet are sure to stay perfectly dry. The brushed Nylex lining and 400 gram Thinsulate insulation will keep your feet warm and comfortable all day long.
The Vibram lug yellow plug outsole is durable, reliable and perfect for a wide variety of work environments. It is slip- and oil-resistant, which will keep you from falling on your butt. It's also non-marking, which will keep your supervisor off your butt for marking up the work floor. These are a good pair of boots. Starting from the sole up, Chippewa used the Vibram sole which is a great product. The boot is glued to the sole, not sewn, which will lead to problems over time. I normally get 2-3 years out of boots made like this. I get em wet often, which doesn't help. The boot upper is well constructed. Although it's not totally waterproof, it comes close. I really have to step in 5 inches of water to get em soaked through. I haven't worn them in a real rainstorm yet so I can't say how they hold there. The eyelets and lace loops are tough. I don't see them failing. Overall these Chippewa boots are good quality and comfortable. Also, WP seems to have the cheapest price on the net. OTher sites have em going for $150+
