These Thorogood 814-4288 Men's Brown Waterproof Insulated 8 Inch USA-Made Work Boots were made in a tough logger style with a lower heel to help you get through any job you have to do. These tall, dark brown leather boots are styled with logger laces to create a classic look. But let's face it, you don't care what you look like when you're at work. You will care about that dark brown leather, though. The material has been oil-tanned to add to leather's natural weather- and water-resistance. Through the oil-tanned procedure, the material is glossy, easy to clean and strong enough to take on any outdoor conditions. The leather is tough, but it's flexible, too. The material used for your new Thorogood boots will move and bend with your steps as needed.
Speaking of the way your feet move and bend, polyurethane. You may not know what it is, but it's going to make all the difference in the way you step. Lightweight polyurethane used on these insulated boots is shock-resistant stuff that absorbs even more force than rubber, though it's much lighter. Designed to be removable, the polyurethane footbeds can be taken out and cleaned for easy odor control.

The impact-absorbent polyurethane outsoles are attached with Goodyear leather storm welt construction.
