The key here is Danner Boots use of Terra Force Technology construction. As a Danner Hiking Boots based design, you'll enjoy a combination of internal and external nylon shanks, a super-soft polyurethane midsole and a supportive, full-length midsole plate to form an extremely rigid, stable platform that's also comfortable and supportive. You always get great lateral stability for those fast changes of direction when speed is important (we'll let you figure out why). And this Danner Hiking Boots design also accomodates a Radical TF rubber outsole that is designed for traction, while minimizing total weight.
The waterproof upper includes full-grain leather, the sturdiest kind, and 1000 Denier Cordura, ten times tougher than cotton duck. A Gore-Tex bootie lets moisture out, but no water in so your feet stay dry, warm and comfortable.
