Danner 42975 Men's Black Leather Striker 45 II Military Boots are styled to look like the tough footwear worn by the US military. But you can make a piece of cardboard look like a guitar. . .that doesn't mean it's going to make music. That's why these boots have the same features you'd find in standard-issue combat boots - they actually walk the talk.
The black uppers are made with durable full-grain leather and 1000 denier nylon fabric panels. Full-grain's strength and flexibility are a perfect match for the ventilating panels that keep cooling air flowing around your feet. The collar has been padded to fit softly and comfortably around your ankle.
Gore-Tex membranes keep water away. The waterproof membranes prevent moisture, but not air. Because they're also breathable, the Gore-Tex membranes allow heat to escape and air to flow even as they provide waterproof protection. Non-metallic nylon shanks provide support for arches, keeping muscles lifted to keep them from feeling strained and overworked.
Shock-resistant polyurethane was used to create the pain-absorbing footbeds. A layer of EVA foam adds more soft cushioning. The durable polyurethane soles are attached through Sancrispino construction. The leather uppers have been wrapped around the sole board, then stitched to keep it in place. To add more durability, the uppers and soles were cemented together to create a weather-tight bond.
The Terra Force X platform, a wide sole board, gives feet stable support through every step. The slip-resistant tread keeps your steps steady even in face of ice, water and slick surfaces. Oil-resistance protects the tread from corrosive chemicals.
Made with non-metallic construction, Danner 42975 Men's Black Leather Striker 45 II Military Boots are security-friendly. They look like what they are. If only everything was as easy as Danner boots.
