Converse CM8999 Men's Total Comfort Technology 8" Sage Green Boots were proudly made in the USA. Compliant with the Berry Amendment (bet you didn't know we had one), they meet Congressional and Department of Defense standards that say they should be given preference over imports by the deparment of Defense. We think they're preferable for lots of other reasons, too.
The tall gray and green design is made with a combination of leather and Cordura. The flexible, brown leather is resilient and strong, while the tough Cordura nylon is lightweight and breathable to give feet cooling ventilation.
Nylon mesh was used to line the inside, a moisture-wicking material that pulls sweat away from skin. Shock-resistant polyurethane inserts are removable for cleaning and debris removal, impact-absorbent and soft for comfort. Finished with gel heel pads and a shock eliminator heel cushion, the inserts cushion every part of your feet to lessen strike impact and reduce pain. Your body and joints are naturally jarred every time you take a step, but these boots are engineered to reduce and absorb all those effects.
The outsoles are attached with 360-degree stitching that attaches the soles directly to the leather uppers. The firm, flexible design moves naturally with every step. The soles are slip-resistant to keep every step firm, and oil-resistant to protect the tread against corrosive chemicals.
