These 8-inch RAT boots were developed by Danner, who worked with the USMC to create RAT (Rugged All Terrain) footwear that can handle anything. These Danner boots are American Made boots, and they are Eagle, Globe and Anchor emblem and USMC-certified.
That’s because these USMC boots are crafted with the best materials, like flexible nubuck leather. The durable leather frames of these military boots are supported with 1000 denier abrasion-resistant nylon panels that release heat and provide cooling air flow. To protect the uppers from wear and tear, durable polyurethane was used to coat the toe and heel caps.
Use the speed lace fastening system, part of the lace-to-toe design, to get a perfect fit every time. When you’re inside these tactical boots, you’ll be protected with 100% waterproof protection. That’s due to the Gore-Tex lining, completely waterproof membranes that block water but not air. They’re breathable, so your skin gets the air flow it needs to stay healthy. Non-metallic fiberglass shanks keep your arches lifted and support to prevent painful muscle strain while wearing these waterproof boots.
These steel toe boots have been double-stitched for durability and a comfortable, long-lasting fit. The soles of these safety toe boots were attached with Danner’s hand-crafted stitchdown construction, a flexible method that can be repaired and recrafted in Danner’s USA-based facility. The Vibram Dri-Ice 360 outsoles are made for traction even in extreme cold, to stay flexible and provide grip in any conditions. The soles are also EH rated for Electrical Hazard safety, made to absorb dangerous electricity to keep you safer.
These Danner RAT boots are also made with ASTM F2413-05 I/75 C/75 rated steel toes that guard your feet from impact and compression.
