Thorogood 834 7991 Men's Black 8 Inch Trooper Side Zip Boots were designed with a classic military look, with materials and methods that are meant to take care of your feet. There's no swish, there's no famous name written in glitter on the side. . .but you will get extreme comfort, safety and durability.
The 8-inch, all-black uppers have side zippers and a standard lacing system to keep your feet securely locked inside. Oil-tanned leather and smooth, high-shine leather were used to create the glossy, stretchy uppers. Leather's natural springiness helps it fit flexibly and comfortably around feet.
Dri-Lex aerospacer material lines the insides of the boots. The breathable material allows heat to escape to prevent sweat. And when moisture and sweat do collect on the skin, the unique material wicks it away. Non-metallic, composite shanks provide lightweight arch support. The shanks keep arches lifted, so muscles don't have to do work as hard.
Dual-density polyurethane provides lightweight cushioning. Shock-resistant polyurethane absorbs more force than rubber, but weighs less. Made in a removable design, the footbeds are easy to clean. EVA foam cushioning in the midsole creates a lightweight core of flexibility.
The dual-density rubber outsoles are attached through Goodyear welt construction. The welt stitching around the base of each boot creates a flexible, repairable bond. The dual-density, tow layer rubber soles have a gripping lug tread to keep your steps firm and safe.
