Tactical Research Boots: Men's TR636 Composite Toe EH Hot Weather Maintainer Boots
You're ready for work floor battle. Clad in a pair of heavy, ferocious work boots you’ve armored up against every and anything the work floor might throw your way. The only problem is - you can’t move. Yes, your men's boots are heavy and ferocious, but they have anchored you to the work floor. Stay safe without the weight in a pair of Tactical Research Men's TR636 Hot Weather Lightweight Composite Toe Maintainer Boots.
Tactical Research boots feature roomy composite toes, which deliver supreme safety without the metallic weight of a steel toe design. Folks also appreciate composite toe boots because they don’t conduct heat or cold, and they won’t set off metal detectors when you have to run to the store. The composite toe coverage on the EH boots is ASTM-approved for impact and compression-resistance. The safety toe boots are also rated with electrical hazard protection to keep your walk safe around highly-charged equipment.
The uppers of the Tactical Research footwear are crafted with smooth full-grain leather, which is abrasion- and moisture-resistant. The uppers also resist staining to preserve the “newness” of the leather, even after rough and tumble days. The smooth green leather provides professional polish and provides undercover coverage when your work takes you into heavy brush.
Rubber overlays on the heels and toes provide abrasion-resistance, which makes the men's footwear last longer. The outsoles are also long wearing and features oil- and slip-resistant traction. Inside, you’ll find plenty of comfort thanks to the cushioning support of the TR-1 orthotic insoles. The outsoles are ASTM-rated for electrical hazards, too.
Don’t let your work buddies run circles around you and your heavy work shoes. Stay in the action AND stay protected in a pair of lightweight Tactical Research Men's TR636 Green Maintainer Slip-Resistant Boots.

Good while they lasted....

With 24 years as a maintainer I have gone through my share of boots. I was over joyed when I found these boots. After one year of wear not so much any more. The boots out of the box are stiff and required about a month to break in. During this period I found that they leak like a sive through the stiching. I applied a coat of snow seal to all the stiches and leather parts of the boots. Problem solved. After break in the boots are like slippers. The rubberized toe and heal box are an excellent feature. The soles were very grippy and good on concrete. The laces are durable but the boots do not have to speed laces so lace up is an operation. These are the first pair of boots that keep my feet comfortable and sweat free after a day on the line. Now after a year the soles are slick. The leather areas are worn and turning black. The sole at the toe is now oozing a red material and it gets worse when they get wet. The vents on the instep are now falling apart and can be a FOD hazard. Good ideas but poor quality.
