The nine-inch uppers sport a combination of full-grain leather (includes the outer part of the hide that is most durable) and 1200 Denier Nylon, a generous thickness that provides toughness with light weight. The padded collar helps keep debris from falling into your boot (we hate grit in our shoes!) while minimizing the possibility of irritation when you bend or kneel.

To keep your feet warm and dry, you get not only a moisture-wicking lining, but the Dryz system in a removable cushioning footbed. Dryz foam helps keep your feet dry and cool by absorbing moisture away from your feet in a gel-like substance. With a constant flow of movement, the gelled moisture dissipates continuously throughout the day and completely when the shoes are removed.

The steel toe on this Corcoran 1996 conforms to ASTM F2413 safety standards for protecting you from compression and impact hazards, so dropped heavy items are less potential for trouble (you've got enough of those already).

Where the rubber meets the road is special because the lugged oil-resistant sole, which is non-marking for your inside work, contains a PU stabilizer to absorb shock while keeping these boots lighter weight.
