Whether you're battling in the trenches, walking on the high steel or simply doing yard work, Thorogood 834-6809 USA Made Waterproof Insulated Military Boots are up to the task. When you have to rise to any occasion, your boots have to do the same.
Black boulder leather was used to create the sleek, shiny outer shell. It's called boulder leather because it's waterproof and resistant to cuts, abrasions, even flame - truly, it's strong as a rock. The 100 denier nylon panels are both breathable and waterproof. Nylon helps natural air flow for cooling comfort.
Each boot is surrounded with an inner, waterproof barrier made of Comfort Weave Sympatex fabric. The pillow two motion sensor footbeds are made with memory foam, that space-age material which conforms softly to your feet even when you're in motion. The footbeds are removable for easy cleaning and maintenance.
The puncture-resisting insoles are made in a flexible, L-shaped design that moves with every step. Rubber midsoles add a layer of cushioning. Lightweight fiberglass shanks lift and support arches to reduce pain. The Thinsulate Ultra insulation, 400 gram weight, provides a lightweight layer of warming protection. Thinsulate absorbs natural body heat, storing it to keep you warm even in freezing temperatures.
Repairable stitches, known as Goodyear welt construction, create a flexible bond between sole and shoe. The Vibram Sierra lug outsoles are made from shock-resisting polyurethane. Oil-resistant, the soles stand up to corrosive chemicals. Slip-resistance strengthens the tread.
