These darn tough socks are made with x-wide construction to fully cover your feet. One inch in added stretch around the leg and shin keeps your steps flexible and mobile. The fit is amazing, but the fabric is even better.
Comprised of 69% Merino wool, these socks are insulating and soft. High-quality Merino has the soft comfort of cashmere, but it's tough against outdoor conditions. It stays warm even when wet, won't itch your skin and wicks moisture away from your feet so you stay dryer. The 27% nylon is abrasion-resistant, lightweight and breathable. Lycra spandex, 4%, adds the stretchy comfort.
High-density cushioning on the bottoms of the socks and around the shins pillows your feet and legs against pain and impact. Ribbing above the ankle creates a comfortable fit that resists slipping and sliding. Elastic support has been knit right into the arches to support this important area of the fit. The Merino wool has been shrink-treated so it will maintain its shape. Scent Lok technology even prevents odors.
Reinforced heels and toes add durability where socks need it most. Ring toe construction is tough, but it’s been added for another feature: smooth, invisible seams that won’t rub against skin.
