You gotta admire the Fox River 6600 Wool Work Sock. Like an oblivious sheep grazing on a plain in the rain, when you work in wet conditions, you tend not to notice that something is keeping your feet insulated and dry. So like the sheep, you go about your work as they go about their grazing, without a care to the wet conditions. Like those fluffy sheep, you're staying warm and dry and that's what matters.
We can't credit those nice sheep with everything, though. These socks are a unique blend of natural and synthetic fabrics (66% Acrylic, 22% Wool, 11% Nylon, 1% Lycra Spandex) to maximize their insulation capabilities and extend their life cycle. These socks are fully thermalined for shock absorption and the smooth linear looped toe seam ensures no irritation at the toes. Pull these socks up to mid-calf and you'll feel their heavy-weight construction surround you in wooly comfort.
When you slip on a pair of these Fox River 6600 Wool Work Socks, we hope you remember to tip your hat to sheep everywhere and their miracle coat of wool. We'll do our part and make sure we've got these premium socks at a great price.

I find the Fox River Mills wool work socks to be very comfortable and somewhat warm. Even after walking for miles on end, my feet still felt comfortable with no chafing or blistering. These socks have held up well in my experience. Pair these really comfortable socks with a rugged work boot with good support and stride for an ultimate comfort experience. Material is not too rough as you commonly see with wool socks. I recommend them.

Wool Works Well...
I used to wear nothing but cotton socks until I read that Harley Davidson motorcycle testers, who put the bikes through endurance testing in both cold climates and in the desert southwest, always wear wool socks. I decided to try them, and now it's all I wear, except in the gym, the only place where I still wear traditional cotton sweat socks. My feet don't sweat in wool like they do in cotton, wool provides more padding and more warmth without a lot of bulk (unless you get heavyweight socks), and in general, wool socks work much better in boots in the work place. Fox River socks are well made, hold up to repeated washing, and don't itch at all. I was pleased with my purchase.
