Wolverine Footwear: Leather Saddle Soap 69422

We spend good money to buy good products so it only makes sense that we want to take care of our quality products the best way we can. This is where adding protection with Wolverine Footwear Leather Saddle Soap 69422 is a good idea.

Not only does Wolverine saddle soap clean, it also softens and preserves any and all smooth leathers. Don’t worry about the build up you see from other types of soap cleaners. Wolverine leather saddle soap removes wax build-up, even if it’s from other products you’ve used before.

Simply remove any loose dirt you may have on the smooth leather product you wish to clean. Dampen a clean, soft cloth or sponge by squeezing out any excess water. Work the soap into a nice lather on your cloth and then apply it to your product by rubbing in a circular motion. When your product has dried, buff with a dry soft cloth. Keep covered when not in use and keep from freezing.

Wolverine Footwear Leather Saddle Soap 69422 is available in a one size container Net Wt. 3.17 OZ (90g). This saddle soap is ideal for bags, boots and luggage as well as saddlery. Shop Working Person’s Store for all your smooth leather products and cleaning needs today.

One size only: Net Wt. 3.17 OZ (90g)

a must for your shoe care kit...
By:
Cleaning the shoes clears dirt from the pores and opens the pores to better accept leather conditioner and leather preservative. Even if the shoes don't look dirty, it's a good idea to clean them with saddle soap before conditioning or waterproofing

You need to have saddle soap on hand...
By:
I don't need to use saddle soap often, but I make sure I have Wolverine saddle soap 69422 on hand. When I need it, I need it badly. Hot water and saddle soap do an incredible job of cutting through built up dirt, wax, polish, and creams on your shoes and boots. And it does all this safely because the saddle soap also conditions the leather while it works. Regardless, I usually follow up a saddle soap cleaning with another leather conditioner like lexol or neetsfoot oil to ensure the leather's longevity before then applying polish or creams. You won't need to use saddle soap frequently, but you should keep it on hand for the times that you do need it.

Gets old boots cleaned up well...
By:
I bought this Wolverine leather saddle soap to clean up some of the old mans old work boots that he was beating up for about a decade. The boots have been soaked in mud and scuffed up really badly, seeing as how they were just his beater boots for his job.
Once I had heard that he never bothered to condition them or clean them with anything other than water, I decided to give him this on a recommendation I found in a forum on line. He was pretty reluctant at first, so I just went ahead and did it for him and boy was he happy with the results: These boots look almost as good as when they were new out of the box. We got more crap off of those boots than we even knew were on them (we thought it was damaged leather because it was so caked on to the boots).
The product must be opened very carefully though, as mine was very moist and leaky. It also comes with a powerful smell, but that's to be expected from a powerful cleaner I suppose. I would recommend this to anyone, it's a very impressive product.

Saddle soap + Hot Water is underrated!...
By:
When your boots get dirty, really the best way to clean them (even if it may sound scary) is to just go at them with a sponge, some HOT water, and some saddle soap. I do it all the time routinely to even my dressiest of boots (my wolverine 1000 milers!) and they come out looking brand spanking new every time with a coat of oil and some polish if I feel like it. Just conditioning your boots isn't enough in my opinion, so giving them a thorough cleaning once in a while before you give them their waterproofing/oil conditioning is a great idea. The only thing I don't really like about this particular saddle soap is that the soap tends to get crusty over time... but that may be a good thing since its a side effect of lasting so long!

Why Choose Working Person? Let Our Customers Explain!

I wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the products and service I received from your company. I had a short notice request to travel from New Orleans to the Northwest Territories in Canada to inspect an offshore facility out on the sea ice north of the arctic circle. You can't get clothes suitable for that area in New Orleans at any time, and certainly not in April. I called your order line on a Saturday, and your ordering department spent quite a bit of time with me making recommendations and checking to see if the gear was in stock. He made sure that the order was packed for a Monday overnight shipment and I had my clothing by Tuesday afternoon. I left New Orleans on Wednesday morning. This was a very important project for our company and I want to thank you for your service. I also want to tell you that the great representative you had for your company. I've passed on your name to our organization for other folks that might have to make a trip up North. Here are a couple of pictures of me in Canada out on the offshore ice. It was -22 C (-8 F) with a pretty good wind (wind chill -32 C / -26 F). The clothes I got from you all kept me warm throughout the 7 hours I spent outside doing my inspection. In fact, as you can see, I didn't even need to zip my jacket. It was a sunny day, which helped. Finally, the gloves you see in the pictures are not the ones I ordered from you. Your gloves were fine, and I used them when I wasn't physically working, but the work I was doing required a leather glove for hand protection. I procured a pair of thinsulate leather work gloves in Inuvik that worked great and were a good balance between insulation, protection, and manual dexterity. I don't have them at work with me, but if you are interested I can look at the tag and send the brand information on to you.
