The uppers on these black, pull-on Boots are made from durable flame- and heat-resisting rubber to give your feet a superior protective barrier against harsh conditions. Vulcanized construction creates a solid bond between the uppers and the traction lug outsoles and helps this pair feel broken in right out of the box. Along with being waterproof, the rubber is also blood borne pathogen compliant and the construction meets National Fire Protection Association standards for structural firefighting. Smoking, smoldering buildings can limit visibility so Thorogood made these boots with cushioned shin guards to protect against unforeseen bumps and barriers. ASTM-approved steel toes and puncture-resistant midsoles offer additional protection from potentially foot-crushing accidents in unpredictable environments.
