These black and yellow Firefighting Boots feature uppers that are made from durable flame and heat resisting rubber for unbeatable protection against the harsh conditions of structural firefighting. Vulcanized construction creates a solid bond between the uppers and the traction lug outsoles and helps this pair feel broken in right out of the box. Along with being waterproof, the rubber is also blood borne pathogen compliant and the construction meets National Fire Protection Association standards for structural firefighting. Smoking, smoldering buildings can limit visibility so Thorogood made these boots with cushioned shin guards to protect against unforeseen bumps and barriers. ASTM-approved steel toes and puncture-resistant midsoles offer additional protection from potentially foot-crushing accidents in unpredictable environments.
The flame and heat resistant Traction Cleat soles you'll find underfoot are sure to keep you grounded and in control on a variety of slippery or dangerous surfaces. They're rated Electrical Hazard resistant too so you'll be protected against shock in charged areas. Flame-resistant knit Kevlar lines the inside. This fabric is five times stronger than steel and is a superior weapon in your fight against fire.
