Keen Boots: Men's Tacoma Black Steel Toe 1007031 Waterproof Work Boots
Most of the Work Boots we carry at WPS come in soft and steel toe models. Boot companies recognize that some Working Men need the added protection of steel toes and some don't. If you're a steel toe man, you'll love the comfort and features that Keen offers in their Men's Tacoma 1007031 Black 6" Steel Toe Waterproof Work Boots.
These attractive black boots are made of what Keen calls "abrasion-resistant tough-tech leather." The uppers of these 6"-boots are made of a waterproof Nubuck. Unlike what you may think, Nubuck isn't a type of leather--its a treatment done to the grain side of leather. That's the strongest side of the cow hide. A Nubuck finish can look like suede, but it provides more strength in a soft and flexible material. These boots are made of naturally oil, water, and stain resistant leather.
The steel-toe design is anatomically correct and provides a roomier toe box. These boots meet ASTM F2412-05 and F2413-05 I/75 and C/75 standards.
Six-Inch Tacoma boots with steel toes are strong, waterproof and versatile. They utilize Keen.Dry technology, which is a proprietary waterproof, breathable membrane that lets water vapor out without letting more water in. If you're looking to upgrade from your old construction boots, these Keens will fit the bill.
Inside, these boots offer Dry-Lex mesh lining, keeping them comfortable and easy to wear. The lining utilizes a hydrophobic/hydrophilic, 2-zone comfort technology that keeps water out, but also wicks it away from your skin.
Keen offers excellent comfort by building these boots with dual-density, compression-molded EVA midsoles. EVA plastic is soft, durable and flexible. EVA is a plastic foam that's designed to absorb impact and cushion feet. The removable footbeds, which are metatomically designed, are also made of EVA. The footbeds offer internal suport mechanisms that are anatomically engineered to support your arches and cradle the natural contours of your feet. Contoured heel locks make sure your heels are doubly comfortable by absorbing the shock of heel impact.
The non-marking soles are attached to the midsoles and uppers with Goodyear Welt Construction. Goodyear Welt construction allows you to resole your boots if you wear out the bottoms. This type of welt is very economical in the long run.
And last but not least, the rubber outsoles of these Tacomas are oil- and slip-resistant. And since they have an EH (electrical hazard) rating of ANSI Z41 PT99, you can walk confidently knowing that these Keens will keep you safe in hazard conditions with open circuits.
Walk tall knowing that your Keens have you covered. The Keen Men's Tacoma 1007031 Black 6" Steel Toe Waterproof Work Boots are comfortable, take care of your feet and legs, and protect you with a steel toe.
If within 90 days from the date of purchase you are not completely satisfied with the comfort of your Keen footwear, we will return/exchange no questions asked.

Comfy, just as all Keens are...

I got these boots and I loved them at first. My feet felt great and my feet didnt stay wet with sweat. I did have to send these back. The right sole was coming unglued between the layers. The boots leather is super tough too. I have destroyed DR Marten (with are my fav and make a foots dream come true) time after time and the Keens do hold up better due to the toe extra layer. They do run a bit big so keep that in mind too

best boot ever... almost...
Timberland Pro discontinued the boots I was used to so I was forced to look else where for a work boot. The rubber toe was a major factor in my boot selection. I'm a heavy guy and I work hard. I weigh 240 lbs and i'm on a cement floors all day. I replace timberland boots every 6 months because wear the soles bald, but they were the longest lasting boots I've had yet. Then I bought these Keen Tacoma's. They were more comfortable and have lasted me 9 months. The only problem I have had with them was that one of the metal hooks that the laces hook on, on the top of the boot pulled off at about 4 months in. Only other problem I have now is i'm due for boots again and they have been DISCONTINUED, and the closest boot that resembles it is more expensive by about 70 dollars!! I'm getting sick of boot shopping!
