The athletic design is made in waterproof dark brown leather. Full-grain leather moves naturally around feet. If true strength lies in flexibility, full-grain leather is some of the toughest stuff around. Reflective striping adds visibility.
Lightweight aluminum toes are made in a left and right asymmetrical design that matches the natural slope of your feet. These boots are finished with ANSI Z41 PT99 approved EH (electrical hazard) protection, to absorb dangerous electricity. Keen Dry waterproofing membranes line each boot. The waterproof membranes won't let water into your boots, but they will allow air flow. Heat escapes, cooler air comes in and your feet stay dryer. Speaking of staying dryer, Dri-Lex lining surrounds feet in 2-zone hydrophobic/hydrophilic technology. One repels moisture, one absorbs, so either way you don't get wet.
The EVA foam footbeds are made in a two-layer, dual density construction. The metatomical design provides contouring, supportive comfort. Because they're removable, the footbeds slide right out for easy cleaning. Puncture-resistant midsole plates protect you from hidden nails and other workplace hazards.
The non-marking rubber soles are directly attached to the leather. Siping on the outsole provides additional traction. Thin slits are cut right into the rubber to create the siping, giving you better traction on slick and icy floors. Slip-resistance provides additional traction. Oil-resistance protects the rubber from corrosive chemical agents.
