The black olive and madder brown uppers are made with waterproof Nubuck leather. Nubuck is soft to the touch, like suede, but is has the durable flexibility of full-grain leather. Pliant and stretchy, Nubuck moves naturally with your steps. Reflective webbing adds visibility.
Keen Dry membranes provide waterproof protection. The thin, lightweight membranes are tough enough to block moisture from your feet, but they won't block the air flow skin needs. Dri-Lex lining blocks another type of moisture: sweat. Made with 2-zone hydrophobic/hydrophilic technology, the lining absorbs and repels moisture to keep skin dryer.
The footbeds are made with dual density construction to give you two layers of cushioning EVA foam. Dual-density EVA foam was used in the midsole layer, too. While four layers of lightweight EVA cushion, the torsion stability shanks stabilize. The ESS shanks are made to resist electro-static shock, so they won’t collect static electricity that may harm electronic equipment.
These boots have been built on a woman's last . The non-marking rubber outsoles are designed with contoured heel locks that help steady your stride. Speaking of a steady stride, the tread is slip-resistant.
Oil-resistance protects the shock-resistant rubber from corrosive chemicals. The soles are ANSI Z41 PT99 approved for electrical hazard protection, soaking up electricity to keep you safe.
