Key Shirts: Men's Grey 152 05 Flame-Resistant Base Layer Work Shirt
You can’t ever be too careful around electricity. If you’re working around power lines, they carry a lot of electrical juice. Electricity can be unpredictable. Wear this Key Men's 152 05 Grey Flame-Resistant Base Layer Thermal Shirt, and your men's workwear just might save your life.
Electrical workers need flame-resistant clothing because of the possibility of being exposed to an arc flash, which is a type of electrical explosion. If you work in this field, most likely, your job will require you to wear HRC (hazard-resistant clothing) level 2 with an ARC flash level of 8 clothing. This Key shirt meets level 2 requirements and has an arc flash level of 8.1.
This flame-resistant shirt is made of 60% modacrylic, 30% cotton, and 10% aramid. The material was shrunk before it was even put together, so you’ll know you’re ordering true to size. The main fabric, modacrylic, is flame-resistant and doesn’t combust. This men's shirt is difficult to ignite and will self-extinguish. Aramid is even tougher. Aramid is used in military-grade clothing and ballistic-rated body armor. It has no melting point and is non-conductive. Even though this grey shirt offers strong protection, the fabric is soft and comfortable.
You definitely need more than one of these flame-resistant shirts in your closet. After you put on this 7oz. rib-construction Key undershirt, you’ll realize you’ve found the comfort and protection you’ve been looking for. Key Men's 152 05 Grey Thermal FR Shirt is the first layer you should put on when you don’t want to take any chances.

I'm a union electrician working in a boiler room in close proximity to Pipe-Fitters who are welding and grinding water pipes all day long. Needless to say there are sparks flying everywhere around them. My hi-vis vest and shirt are made of polyester fabric, we all know lacking in flame resistance they are. At least with my KEY FR work shirt underneath I have some protection if a stray spark gets me!
