The outer layer of this black sweatshirt is made with 100% acrylic jersey fabric, a material that's so tough you'll be using this jacket for a long, long time. Quick-drying, shrink-resistant, water-repelling and made to stand firm against wrinkles, acrylic is easy to machine-wash and comfortable to wear.
Inside, 100% polyurethane insulation helps keep cold wind and weather at bay. Incredibly durable, PU is often used in place of plastics, rubber and leather because it's lighter in weight and extremely versatile. Grey vellux lining inside adds further insulation. Often used in blankets, vellux is valued for its lightweight heat-retention and extreme durability. This material resists fading, piling, mattering and stretching out. It's also hypoallergenic, so it's soothing on the skin.
The drawstring hood allows you to cinch warmth even around your head, because beating the cold is all about keeping warmth locked inside. To further this effort, the matching cuffs and waistband are knit to create a snug, stretchy fit. Pull the lightweight, #5 zipper closed and keep your body heat from leaking out into cold winter weather.
