Kodiak Boots: Men's Composite Toe 310080 Waterproof Insulated Renegade Work Boots
When something is truly difficult to deal with or a task is just too impossible, you say it's a real bear. Life often makes things difficult, but these Kodiak 310080 Men's Brown Blue Renegade Waterproof Insulated Non-Metallic Composite Toe Boots will put those things in perspective.
These tall, brown boots aren't named after one of the most fearsome bears known to man for no reason. The uppers of these Kodiak boots are made with waterproof sealed seams that won't let water leak in even around the chinks. And because those uppers are crafted from full-grain waterproof leather, you're pretty much ready for anything. Natural full-grain leather is highly resilient against wear and tear, but it's still soft and flexible around your feet.
Waterproof leather isn't the only weather protection you'll get. These insulated boots are lined with waterproof booties that block moisture to keep you dryer. To keep the entire design tougher, triple-row stitching was used on the vamp, quarters, and heel. These high-wear areas are stitched with three threads, rather than one at a time, to give you stitches with triple the strength. The shaft and tongue have been quilted with abrasion-resistant, highly durable 3600 denier nylon material. The anatomical padded tongue of these composite toe boots is so well designed and so comfortable, Kodiak has registered for a patent.
Wet weather isn't the only problem you might have to face. Sometimes it's cold as well. That's why these work boots are filled with 200 gram weight Thinsulate insulation. This lightweight insulation absorbs your own body heat and reflects it back to you to keep you warmer while you work. And to keep you comfortable, the footbeds of these waterproof boots are made in a soft, dual-density design. Two layers of shock-absorbent polyurethane soften impact and keep your steps energized. Because the footbeds are removable, you can clean them any time. The back counter, the area right at the back of the foot, is double-layered for softness.
More polyurethane is in the midsole layer, so you actually get multiple layers of comfort. The flexible midsole layer is directly injected into the design of these safety toe boots. Shock-resistant rubber was used to build the base for your every step: the outsoles. Flex chambers are built into the rubber to keep the design easy to wear. The rubber is oil-resistant and tough against common workplace chemicals.
The entire design of these Renegade boots is built on an anatomical, wide-fitting last that’s styled with an off-center fit. The anatomical design is made to mirror your natural foot to keep them more comfortable. The soles are cemented into place with glue, and that’s reinforced with stitching for added strength. Cement construction creates a firm, stable sole bond in these Kodiak boots.
Kodiak 310080 Men's Brown Blue Renegade Waterproof Insulated Non-Metallic Composite Toe Boots are made with Rockfibre metal-free technology. The composite toes aren’t steel, but they do meet CSA Grade 1 standards. Composite is lighter in weight than steel, but tough enough to meet ASTM F2413-05 standards of impact- and compression-resistance. Composite plates add even more foot protection. That about covers it, now put a pair in your shopping cart and see for yourself!

Unfortunately these boots were not waterproof. I work outside in all types of weather and had to deal with soaked feet and socks. If you're not looking for them to be waterproof its a lightweight and pretty comfortable boot.
