McRae Boots: Men's Brown MR83701 Composite Toe Met Guard Hiking Boots

No, we didn't get the name of these McRae Men's Brown MR83701 Composite Toe Met Guard Slip-Resistant Hiking Boots wrong. They look like hiking shoes, or even athletic shoes, and you can definitely wear them like they are. But if you don't wear these like a pair of work boots, you're going to miss all the best features of this footwear.

Orange accents pop against the brown suede uppers of these McRae boots. The softness of suede is always nice, but it's even nicer when it's made from tough full-grain leather. The hide has been left natural and unprocessed to give you the best of leather's true durability. Full-grain is naturally resistant to wind and water, but the leather's true strength is in its softness. Full-grain leather flexes, and that's why these composite toe boots feel so much like a pair you'd wear during your off hours.

The polymer eyelets and hooks that hold the lacing system of these met guard boots in place are sewn in to stay put. Use the laces to get a comfortable, customizable fit. Even without them, these hiking boots would feel comfortable. That's because they're made with soft Phylon, a type of airy EVA foam in the midsole layer. The midsoles of these brown boots absorb shock so your feet won't feel so much of it, and that's just what you want when you work.

Non-metallic, lightweight fiberglass was used to build the shanks in these safety toe boots. They lift and support your arches to prevent muscle strain and foot pain, two things you don't need whether or not you're working.

Glued cement construction keeps the bond between the uppers and outsoles of these McRae boots moisture-resistant and weather-ready. The high-abrasion rubber outsoles resist shock to help you spring back from stepping impact.

The outsoles of these slip-resistant boots protect you from the shock you'll feel below your feet when you step. The met guards and composite toes guard you from impact and compression that comes from above. Made with shock-resistant polyurethane, the flexible met guards meet ASTM F2413-11 safety standards. The composite toes aren't made with metal, but they do meet ASTM F2413-11 standards for protective footwear. Unlike steel, composite won't conduct electricity or temperature, but it will protect your tender toes.

Call these McRae Men's Brown MR83701 Composite Toe Met Guard Slip-Resistant Hiking Boots whatever you want to call them because the name isn't what matters. It's everything else about these MR83701 boots that you'll love.

Great Fitting Boots!...
By:
I received the boots a few weeks ago and these have got to be the most comfortable boot with an internal Met Guard that I have ever worn. I would highly recommend them to anyone who does a lot of walking at work. The only thing is It took a while to get them.

Why Choose Working Person? Let Our Customers Explain!

I wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the products and service I received from your company. I had a short notice request to travel from New Orleans to the Northwest Territories in Canada to inspect an offshore facility out on the sea ice north of the arctic circle. You can't get clothes suitable for that area in New Orleans at any time, and certainly not in April. I called your order line on a Saturday, and your ordering department spent quite a bit of time with me making recommendations and checking to see if the gear was in stock. He made sure that the order was packed for a Monday overnight shipment and I had my clothing by Tuesday afternoon. I left New Orleans on Wednesday morning. This was a very important project for our company and I want to thank you for your service. I also want to tell you that the great representative you had for your company. I've passed on your name to our organization for other folks that might have to make a trip up North. Here are a couple of pictures of me in Canada out on the offshore ice. It was -22 C (-8 F) with a pretty good wind (wind chill -32 C / -26 F). The clothes I got from you all kept me warm throughout the 7 hours I spent outside doing my inspection. In fact, as you can see, I didn't even need to zip my jacket. It was a sunny day, which helped. Finally, the gloves you see in the pictures are not the ones I ordered from you. Your gloves were fine, and I used them when I wasn't physically working, but the work I was doing required a leather glove for hand protection. I procured a pair of thinsulate leather work gloves in Inuvik that worked great and were a good balance between insulation, protection, and manual dexterity. I don't have them at work with me, but if you are interested I can look at the tag and send the brand information on to you.
