Merrell Shoes: Men's Brown J24291 Nubuck Leather Waterproof Hiking Shoes
If you didn't care about keeping your feet dry, you might not wear shoes at all. Sometimes footwear can get in the way, pinch toes, and feel uncomfortable. But these Merrell J24291 Brown Moab Nubuck Waterproof Men's Hiking Shoes are deigned to keep your feet dry, comfortable, and well-cushioned at all times.
The brown uppers of these Merrell shoes are made with a combination of materials designed to give your feet protection and comfort. First you've got suede-like Nubuck leather. It's fuzzy and touchable, and still it's tough. Nubuck may have swag like suede, but it has the tough flexibility and strength of full-grain leather. It resists wear and tear, as well as weather, to keep you looking sharp. Breathable mesh material is integrated into the design of these men's shoes to keep the uppers lightweight and cool. Mesh allows heat to escape, so cool air can get to your skin.
Water won't get to your skin, however. These waterproof shoes are made with M Select Dry technology that seals out water while still allowing interior moisture to escape. This protects you from wet weather and even your own sweat. The bellows tongue keeps debris from getting inside of these brown shoes. The M Select Fresh technology prevents odors, so even bad smells won't get to your feet.
Compression-molded EVA foam was used to create the cushioning, airy footframe of these odor-controlling shoes. Lightweight EVA absorbs impact, so your feet and joints feel a lot less. Air cushioning technology in the heel absorbs shock right in the strike area, where feet often hit the hardest. The Grade 4 insoles provide a thin layer of cushioning that's shock-resistant enough to keep feet cushioned and supported, even if you're carrying a light bag or pack.
The Vibram outsoles of these Merrell shoes have a 5mm lug depth to provide gripping traction for your steps. Visible TPU shanks provide support. Shanks are designed to keep arches lifted and well-supported. TPU, thermoplastic urethane, has the durability of rubber and the lightweight protection of plastic. Rubber toe caps and heel counters protect the uppers from scuffs and wear.
If you don't care about your feet, fine. But if you do, start treating them right with Merrell J24291 Brown Moab Nubuck Waterproof Men's Slip-Resistant Shoes.
I was looking for a high-end, water proof hiking boot with a VERY solid sole, so as not to feel sharp or deformed rocks on the bottom of my foot. I was very surprised to find that these boots accomplished that, and were priced at ballpark $160. Most of the upper end boots with similar foot protection on uneven rocks were in the $300-400 range. I've been really happy with these boots and have taken to wearing them everyday, even around the house and yard. I'm only regret is that they only come in medium width. I'd sure like to have a wide pair!

Best hiking boots ever...
These are the best boots around for hiking. They are waterproof. They have great treads. But most importantly, they are comfortable. Nothing can stand in your way with these Merrell boots on. I love the higher ankle support than some of the others offered. Just in case you slip on a log, your less likely to twist your ankle and able to make it out of the woods.
