Normally when you think of safety toe shoes, athletic shoes aren’t the first shoes that comes to mind. Athletic shoes are for running, jogging, or for just hanging out on the weekends, right? Wrong. Athletic shoes have evolved and many now offer great safety features in addition to comfort features. These grey and yellow composite toe shoes are remarkably protective and comfortable and will keep your feet cushioned and safe until you take them off.
These Nautilus shoes have composite toes that meet or exceed ASTM 2413-05 ratings for impact and compression resistance. This means your toes will be protected from falling objects and your co-workers’ ears will be protected from your cursing when something falls on your feet. These women's shoes are electrical hazard resistant as well, which means they give you a secondary source of electric shock-resistance protection and keep you safe from accidental contact with live electrical circuits. Speaking of keeping you safe, the rubber outsoles give you some great traction and are slip-resistant as well as oil-resistant.
Now that we have the protective features covered, let’s move on to the comfort features. Made of nylon and microfiber leather uppers (for a flexible, sturdy fit) these work shoes have a waterproof bladder construction. Stop snickering, we don’t mean that type of bladder. This type of bladder construction means the wet, soggy terrain won’t get into your waterproof shoes, so you don’t have to worry about keeping an extra pair of socks handy. EVA sock liners maximize your comfort by providing heel-to-toe support. The sock liners contour and hug your feet in cushioning comfort. In addition, the encapsulated EVA with TPU support helps to stabilize your feet as you walk.
