Oliver Boots: Men's Steel Toe 55232 ESD Nubuck Leather Work Boots
When you have to work outdoors on rugged terrain, you want a Work Boot that provides the grip you need. These Oliver 55232 Tan Nubuck Water-Resistant ESD Steel Toe Work Boots for men provide a durable outsole, a steel toe for protection and water-resistant leather to keep your feet dry in wet weather.
The all-terrain soling system of these Oliver boots features a polyurethane midsole which cushions the foot on impact, along with a dual-density nitrile rubber outsole designed for superior grip and durability. Polyurethane is a foamed structure containing tiny air bubbles which makes the material soft, lightweight, and shock-absorbing. PU will also remain flexible, even at extreme temperatures as low as -30° C, when rubber and PVC tend to break.
The hard-wearing outsole of these steel toe boots offers heat-resistance to temperatures of 300° C. Nitrile rubber is resistant to mineral oils, acids, alkalies, animal fats, and oils, so it won't degrade easily when coming into contact with these substance. This outsole also provides excellent slip-resistance and superior resistance to abrasion and cutting.
Water-resistant, wheat Nubuck leather is used to construct the uppers on these tan boots. Nubuck is an "effect" that's done to the grain side of the leather, making it incredibly soft. The surface has been brushed to create a texture similar to a velvet on leather. This brushing process also makes the material even more absorbent than Aniline leathers. Heavy-duty Kevlar stitching is used across all critical seams for increased strength. Kevlar thread offers better protection against abrasion, as well as sparks you may encounter at work when you wear these safety toe boots. For additional durability, a TECtuff toe bumper and heel protection guard will prevent scuff marks and increase the life of the boot.
Oliver's unique COMFORT cushion uses a combination of cellular urethane and Poron in these Oliver boots to protect the heel and ball of the foot. The constant impact-absorption helps reduce foot, leg, and lower back fatigue. PORON is an open-celled microcellular polyurethane which will wick away moisture to keep your feet cool and comfortable throughout the day. In addition, the material offers anti-microbial and bacterial protection to help stop the growth of odor-causing bacteria.
The Oliver comfort system features a unique NANOlite footbed to provide greater comfort as you walk. A gently raised surface of the sole massages your feet to promote greater blood flow to help reduce fatigue if you wear these men's boots. The perforated-foam layer enhances breathability to keep your feet comfortable and help reduce odor.
Meeting ASTM F2413-11 M I/75 C/75 SD safety standards, this pair of steel toe boots are capable of enduring up to 75 lbs. of impact and 2500 pounds of compression. The NATUREform Type 1 toe cap offers a wide profile shape to suit your foot and allows greater comfort. The toe cap is also padded with a latex cushion liner, ensuring toes are comfortable and not in contact with the cap.
Anti-static footwear minimizes the build-up of electrostatic activity to provide protection against the risk of spark-ignition hazards, including flammable materials and gases. These ESD boots will discharge static build-up through the boot to the floor to reduce the accumulation of excessive static build-up. If static electricity is discharged, it'll occur in a controlled manner to protect you from electrical hazards. This footwear will also protect sensitive components from being damaged or destroyed, including electronics and hard drives.
This pair of Oliver 55232 Men's Tan Nubuck Water Resistant ESD Steel Toe Work Boots also feature a padded collar and tongue for enhanced fit and comfort. These will help to keep debris, sticks and stones out of the footwear. No more having to stop what you're doing to remove uncomfortable debris out of your work boots. Just lace them up and get the most out of your work day.
I have plantars fasciitis and I am a machinist that has to stand on my feet for 12 hr shifts. I have tried all kinds of boots from well known brands (RW) to the cheapest pair of Walmart boots. I am sold on Oliver boots. They have a cushion built into the soul along with a second cushion in the insert. The double cushion makes a nice pad for your heel. I will never buy another boot again. My work covers 130 of my purchase of boots 1 time a year and I will gladly cover the rest to be comfortable in a pair of Oliver boots. Still cheaper than some brands that initials are RW and much more comfortable. On top of that I have had my pair going on 1 year now and still comfortable and haven't had any rips or quality issues. These boots last. (I did have to replace the laces but that's normal on any boot) One last bit of advice is that they do run a little big, I normally wear a size 11 but these I have to wear 10 1/2, so probably order 1/2 size smaller than you normally wear.
