Original SWAT 1312 Men's Chase Black 9 Inch Side Zip Tactical Boots were made for law enforcement professionals and others who put themselves in danger. These boots can't protect you from all dangers. . .just a whole bunch of them.
The full-grain leather toe can be polished into a high-shine gloss, but that's not all. Full-grain leather resists wear, wind and wet. Abrasion-resistant nylon, 1200 denier, adds more strength to the overall design.
YKK zippers on the side of each boots make it easy to slip your feet in and out. A Velcro closure secures the zipper. Made with a durable brass alloy, the hardware is rustproof. The gusseted tongue, strengthened with extra stitches, keeps out dirt and debris.
Foam padding in the tongue and collar to create soft, breathable comfort. Perforations in the collar allow heat to escape your feet. The inner boot lining is moisture-wicking, to pull sweat away from skin, and protected with antimicrobial Aegis to prevent odor.
The orthotics are made with EVA foam and Poron cushioning pads. The midsoles are made with molded phylon (EVA) material. Non-metallic nylon shanks and Texon stability platforms give feet support and torsional stability for surer, safer steps.
The quiet, non-marketing rubber outsoles are made with siping (small cuts) that give feet extra traction, even on ladder rungs, painted and wet surfaces. Heel flex notches add more mobility, and provide Achilles tendon comfort.
Molded thermoplastic heel counters add durability and comfort. The toe and heel have been stitched to create even more durability. Rated for EH (electrical hazard) protection, these boots absorb harmful electricity to keep you safer around open circuits.
