The cotton duck fabric makes this fine Carhartt Duck Coat perfect for repeated use in wet conditions, as its design allows for repeat applications of water-repellent after washing. A great feature, to be sure!
To make sure you can stay warm in wet conditions, the inner body area is blanket-lined with quilted nylon sleeves and accented with snaps that hide underneath the contrasting corduroy top collar, allowing for an optional Carhartt hood if needed. Also, there are four patch pockets including two chest pockets, one with flap and button closure, and for added convenience, you love the inside patch pocket, with hook and loop closure on the left side.

I have abused a few of these and they can take it. I even got tar on the sleeve and removed it with a wire brush. No Kidding! A good substitute for leather or chain-mail.
