This navy Berne hood is made with a combination of 10 ounce 88% cotton and 12% nylon material. Airy, breathable cotton is the perfect match for the abrasion- and flame-resistant fabric. The duck hood's construction keeps this hood wind- and water-repellent, keeping you ready to face all that ugly winter weather.
That's right: we said flame-resistant. It may be winter, but fire is still hot and flame is always dangerous. That's why this Berne FR hood is secured with a flame-resistant drawstring. While it's creating a snug, weather-fighting fit, it's also resisting scorching, burning and melting. How safe is this fire-resistant hood? It meets ASTM F1506, NFPA 70E and OSHA 1910.269 safety regulations.
Inside this Berne hood is heavyweight modacrylic material has been quilted to 100% flame-resistant cotton twill. This warming insulation keeps cold weather away and locks in your natural warmth. This coat hood snaps onto any non-hooded Berne FR duck coats, and lots of others, too.
Triple-stitched main seams create three times the durability overall. When each stitch is made with three threads instead of one, it’s three times as strong.
