With the Carhartt A149MOS Sandstone Moss Green Lined Hood, you can turn a jacket instantly into a coat. Instead of changing out your fall jackets, you can keep them hanging around until mid-March (at least). Keeping your head covered is an important part of keeping warm, and this snap-in hood will make it easy.
Made to snap into most lined outerwear, this moss green hood is fashioned with tough materials, soft insulation and smooth lining. The outer shell is constructed of 12 ounce, 100% cotton sandstone duck with a plied yarn exterior. Cotton duck is tightly-woven cotton, so durable and wind-repellent it's used to make sails for boats and ships. Cotton duck resists tears and rips, but it's naturally soft and pliant for comfort.
Through the sandstone treatment, the outer shell of the hood has been micro-sanded and garment-washed for smooth softness and touchability. Plied yarn (two or more pieces of yarn twisted together) has been added to the exterior for added durability.
But Carhartt didn't stop there. The inside of the hood offers more layers of comfort. The smooth lining is made with 100% nylon, lightweight and abrasion-resistant, that's been quilted for a soft, cushiony finish. The nylon is sewn to midweight polyester insulation that helps hold in warmth, helping you fight even the coldest winter days.
The three-piece construction creates a smooth, flat fit against the head. Just pull the adjustable drawcord to get the fit you want. The Carhartt A149MOS Sandstone Moss Green Lined Hood is also available in sandstone brown, camel brown and dark brown, so you can get one to match every single one of your jackets.
