The light brown outer shell is made with 12 ounce sanded duck. No, that doesn't mean it's made with feathers -- it's 100% cotton material that's been tightly-woven into a canvas-like texture. The duck material repels water and wind, resisting the worst of weather.
Inside, polyester brushed tricot lining has been quilted to 8 ounce polyester fill to create pillowy-soft insulation. The leg lining is abrasion-resistant nylon that's been quilted to the polyester fill.
Leg-to-waist zippers make it easy to get in and out of these heavy-duty overalls. A storm flap prevents drafts and water from penetrating the zipper area. A heavy-duty brass zipper runs down the center. The entire exterior is treated with a Dickies ScuffGuard finish for abrasion-resistance, further protecting the tough cotton duck from the rigors of the workday.
Side entry chest pockets, dual entry back pockets and loops for your hammer and tape measure provide convenient storage space. Elastic back straps create a stretchy fit that moves with you, because clothes fit differently as you bend and maneuver. Dickies has overlooked no detail when it comes to comfort and convenience.
They didn't skimp in the durability department, either. Every seam has been crafted with triple-needle stitching, which uses three times as many threads for three times as much strength. The double knees have two layers of material that are tough to wear out, and clean-out bottoms to make maintenance easier.
