By spring they were pretty worn out in the knees and you cut them off and turned them into shorts. If you want a pair of bibs that will last for more than one season, we suggest you try the Lakin McKey 217 28 Insulated to the Waist Washed Duck Bib Overalls.
These saddle-colored (think medium brown) overalls from Lakin McKey are made from washable 12-ounce, 100% cotton heavyweight duck fabric with a brushed hand-washed finish and a black taffeta lining. The waterproof barrier on the knees and in the seat will help keep you dry when you need to get down on the damp ground and there is a fleece lining pass-through pouch in the bib pocket. Each leg has a one-way Number 5 zipper to the hip with an extended self-fabric pull. The exterior storm flaps on the legs have pewter snaps.
McKey Lakin designed these Overalls with a true Diamond Back design to give you a superior level of comfort. The triple needle stitching and the durable pewter hardware mean these Bibs will last a long time.
There is a pocket for everything that you'll need on the 217 28 Lakin McKey Overalls. There are three exterior pockets on the bib front and two of the pockets have closures. The oversized back pockets and the front pockets are reinforced. There are also two utility pockets as well as a hammer loop and a locker loop.
