This tough black jacket is made with 100% nylon. Durable and lightweight, nylon resists abrasions and wear. It won't soak up water and get weighed down, so it stays lightweight and comfortable around your body. The seam-sealed construction is both waterproof and breathable, so you won't get overheated while you're staying dry. A storm flap keeps moisture out of the zipper area.
The hood is removable. Just roll it up and store it in the collar when it's not in use. There are 5 pockets in this jacket, so you have plenty of places to store your gear.
