This black Carhartt jacket shell is made from 12 ounce, 100% cotton material. It's a fabric that's been around for a long time, because it works. Natural cotton won't itch or irritate, and it's lightweight and soft. In winter jacket, it's been ring-spun. Through the ring-spun process, cotton is even softer and stronger. Every time it's washed, it gets softer and stronger still.
But it doesn't end there. This arctic-quilt lined jacket is made from ring-spun cotton duck, which is some of the toughest stuff around. Cotton duck naturally repels wind, water, bad weather, and just about everything but hard work. You're still going to have to do that, but at least you'll be warm in your new Carhartt jacket doing it.
Inside, this duck jacket has been made with arctic-weight quilted nylon polyester lining to insulate you against the cold. The lightweight material is abrasion-resistant, but it's warm. The warm, durable corduroy collar has snaps on the underside so you can add a hood to this Carhartt jacket at any time.
