It simply means that the fabric doesn’t stretch. Fabrics, like duck, aren’t made with a stretchy blend, like spandex. So they’re called rigid. This jacket’s made with 100% 10-ounce cotton duck – extra tough.
The nylon lining is quilted 6-ounce polyfil for warmth. Dickies added a water-repellent treatment because nobody likes to be damp or wet when it’s cold outside. The rib knit cuffs and waist are great for blocking cold air. They’re like wearing a “Stay Out Wind” sign on your jacket. The hand warmer pockets are handy for getting the chill out of your hands so you can move them again when they’re cold.
