Slip this guy on, open or closed, and be surrounded with 81/2 ounces of tough cotton duck, a water-resistant fabric that's more durable than regular cotton. Squeezing into tight passageways or rubbing against trees won't bother this outer material. On the inside, we're talking 5 ounces of polyester fill tucked into a nylon taffeta lining. The polyester fiberfill retains loft even when damp, so it won't clump like down will. The nylon taffeta will take some of the sting out of the wind while remaining breathable so you won't get that clammy feeling after working hard.

Dickies knows that when you're in the middle of a project, you don't want to have to leave to get something you need, so they've provided plenty of storage space in this TL248 shirt jacket. You've got two snap-your-flap patch pockets on the chest, and a handy patch breast pocket on the inside, perhaps for protecting writing materials or something in the way of a snack. Count in two side seam pockets for hands or need 'em handy tools, and you've got a useful garment to keep your stuff.
