The shell is constructed of 12-ounce, 100%-cotton Sandstone Duck that is micro-sanded and garment-washed for soft-hand pliability. The arctic weight lining is 100%-nylon that is quilted to polyester. And with a rib-knit collar this vest is a great choice for colder temperatures, so no matter the weather add a few layers and this vest will last you straight through the winter. Just the zipper alone has an inside wind flap and a brass tab that is large enough work with gloves on.
When it comes to durability this Carhartt V02-211 Vest is one solid investment, and with triple-stitched main seams, will still be earning its keep long after you're ready to quit.
This Carhartt vest also has elastic side tabs at the waist to allow for extra layers, and a 3.5" kidney flap that will extend past your belt, so if you have to bend to reach towards the ground you're not exposing your more tender parts to the weather (or the rest of us, thank you).
