Specific design is the innovation behind this Petzl P51 Pro Traxion Highly Efficient Self Jamming Pulley. Each pulley is individually tested towards its specific scope of aid climbing and mountaineering. The Petzl P51 is also highly effective for multi-pitch climbing and caving.
The Pro Traxion is designed for hauling heavy loads with maximum efficiency. It is very effective as a progress capture device for travel along a Tyrolean traverse. An auxiliary attachment point allows for creating different types of hauling systems. Swinging side plate permits the rope to be installed once the pulley is in place.
The P51 is engineered for use with ropes from 8 to 13 mm in diameter. It weighs 265 grams. It features a highly-efficient large diameter sheave (38 mm) mounted on sealed ball bearings. The trigger cam with teeth and cleaning slot works even on dirty or icy ropes. This cam can be locked in open position. Certifications include CE EN 567 / UIAA (simple pulley) and CE EN 12278, UIAA (self-jamming pulley). Petzl also delivers a 3-year guarantee for the P51 Pulley.
