Unlike other coats that employ eye-achingly bright colors to let everyone in town know you're on the move, the Challenger Jacket has 1-inch wide reflective taping on the front, back and sleeves. Light, specifically car headlights, brightly reflects off this tape, alerting oncoming traffic to the fact that you're there. The coat's pleasant navy-blue color is actually enhanced by the jacket's white stripes.
Aside from the reflective tape, this is a traditional late fall and winter jacket that's quiet and relaxed. The shell is made of Teklon nylon, a water-repellent fabric that's stronger and more rugged than other Taslan nylons. The sleeves are lined with polyester for warmth, and the body is quite cozy. Stuffed with poly-fill, it has a soft fleece lining that extends above the zipper at the neck for comfort and warmth. The cuffs and wristbands are rib knit to hug your body and keep cold air out. On top of that, slash zippered pockets offer a safe haven for cold hands when you're out walking at night, and an interior zippered pocket holds necessities like keys and your ID.
