Red Wing: Men's Saffron Alley Oxford Shoes 4031
If you're on your feet a lot on your job, walking around all day, the first thing you might say when you get home is, "Free the dogs!" as you take off your shoes and put on some well-worn slippers. We have nothing against slippers, but with the Red Wing 4031 Comfort Oxfords, your dogs don't have to be annoying the neighborhood barking for relief.
The full grain leather uppers use the outermost part of the hide where the fibers are closest together to make a covering that's hard-wearing but able to move with your foot.
A special feature of this particular shoe is its Opanka Construction. This is a classic European method, where the upper, the sole and the sock lining are handsewn together at the same time with double needle stitching. This combines with a slip-resistant rubber Spine Flex sole for the flexibility of a moccasin. Inside you'll find a footbed, removable for cleaning, made of polyurethane foam for durability and resistance to impact. It will add a bit of cushiony firmness to your walk.
Both the back of your heel and front of your toe box sport a rubber bumper for added protection against wear from heel strike and front scuffs.
Another layer of comfort in the Red Wing 4031 Oxford is provided by the Dri-Lex Lining surrounding your foot. This abrasion-resistant knit fabric layer uses a Hydrofil nylon underlayer to transport moisture away from your skin so you don't end up with that "my clammy socks are glued to my feet" feeling.
Comfort and durability. Need we say more about the Red Wing 4031 Alley Oxfords? (We hear you.)
