Let me say first that I wear this Vulcan cowboy hard hat as more of a novelty than a work hat. On Fridays on site, we have dress up days and I wear this one because it provides me with the safety and protection of a hard hat, but it's still fun to wear. The material is the same you'd find on all Vulcan hard hats (a durable hard plastic with a high impact rating) and the straps let you adjust it to fit your head however tightly you want. The molding is well done, with none of those sharp edges you get sometimes on extruded plastic products, and it's very comfortable to wear. Especially important is the balance - although the brims stick out a lot more than they would on an ordinary hard hat, it doesn't weigh your head down to the back or the front. A great hat.
