These boots lasted well over a year in a welding and mining condition just wish they also offered them with out the insulation as well in Arizona summers they are little tough on the feet but other than that great boots

I tried these because the I didn't like...

I tried these because the I didn't like the looks of the external met guard boots and found these to be extremily unconfortable. The steel met guard will not flex when walking thus would never break in and caused pain on the top of my feet. I cannot recommend any internal non flexing met guard boot after trying these.

Great met guard boots...

I'm in these work boots 60+ hrs a week as a welder in heavy construction. I'm not worried about them in any weather or working condition. These Carolina boots last me 2 years on average. 1st time I tried these it was like walking on a 2x4 in bare feet at the end of the day. Added gelled insoles. Now I have 4 new pair as backup since my company gives me $100 every year for new boots and I'm afraid Carolina will stop making these boots. It's hard to find a good work boot to live in. If Carolina stops making these boots I will go to work in the office.

the boots are a little stiff at first but as you wear them they loosen up and make for a great work boot as well as motorcycle boot for the person that likes extra protection on the road
