great for larger pieces of leather...

I wouldn't use these on my boots, but they get the job done for leather that doesn't undergo the same kinds of stress. I use Lexol for my larger leather pieces, such as leather jackets, car seats, sofa, etc.

I've found Lexol to be an effective leather conditioner for just about any leather in need of conditioning. While it does not penetrate as effectively as other conditioners, it has the big advantage of not discoloring the leather. This is especially important for me on leatherworking projects, but also for boots or shoes that I do not want to change color.
Another bonus is that you can use lexol on leather furniture and upholstery. I have both, and a light coat of lexol a couple times per year breathes new life into the leather.
